Part Time Nappy Free - Learn Elimination Communication to use nappies casually, not full time for years and years!

Part Time Nappy Free

is about to be officially launched...

Tribal Baby

Baby Maven, 5 monthsBaby Jett - 3 monthsWelcome!

I'm so excited that this day has finally come! It's been a while now in the planning, writing, developing and testing to be ready for visitors. It has certainly been more complicated than I thought it would be - and has been a learning curve for sure.

When Maven turned two, (about one week before), I began work on the "Part time Nappy Free" online course.  I have planned the materials to help give people interested in EC a place to visit now and again to pick up a tip in order to build their confidence in EC - to gain a clear sense of how adaptable EC is to their lifestyle - as a way simply to cut their use of nappies down to a manageable level as they develop the skills and confidence in communicating with their baby through elimination communication - 1 less nappy at a time!

My hope is that it will help people feel more relaxed with dabbling in a bit of EC, less intimidated by the concept of being part time nappy free...

Part Time Nappy Free is a 'walled garden' membership site - this means there is nice pretty stuff inside - for members only! The first level of membership is free for anyone to join, and "The 7 Secrets to Developing Your Nappy Free Confidence" will provide you with helpful, useful and thought provoking information. I've had a great time putting them together to help people get started with their EC'ing journey with the right mind-set for success. I believe building and developing your inner confidence is key to practicing EC, and is a reason that plenty of people don't even get started - they are unsure about what EC actually means in practice, and can feel intimidated get overwhelmed.

Reassuring people that YES! EC is something you ease into, that nappies or diapers are integral to your learning and peace of mind, is central to the theme of the "Secrets", which is that any regular person can practice EC with their baby - it is a great option that is flexible, adaptable, easier on the budget, the environment and best of all, allows a wonderful enhancement to the communication between us and our babies.

The second level of membership is an online course, called "Part Time Nappy Free!". It is a unique self-paced learning program, which will guide you on your journey with your baby, providing information, motivation, strategies that are simple, all online in a format that will instantly update as I make improvements to the guide. Best of all, as it is digital, it is great for the environment!

I'd like to thank:
- Chris for all his help developing the 'techy' website stuff and for listening to me ramble on about my various ideas for the site, finding solutions for issues that popped up and for for supporting me to continue...
- Belinda for her enthusiasm in listening to me going on and on about "It's getting closer!" and all the bouncing of ideas, encouraging me with it all...
- Annie for her helpful insights into the 'Secrets' as I have developed them, and for proof reading them for me - still more to go there of course!
- All the Mums who have shared insights and stories - they have been so exciting to read, and have given me lots of motivation to develop new directions...
- The early testers and checkers and early birds who helped us to pick over and devour the 'bugs' to where we are now - ready to have anyone visit...
- Maven and Jett - Maven for being the inspiration behind Tribal Baby, and Jett for being the current inspiration for all the exciting fine-tunings of the ideas within that will (I hope!) help many of you to discover the joys of EC as you start (or continue on) the path to reducing your reliance on nappies with your babies!

Now, I'd like to introduce Sam, owner of 'Sydney Attachment Parenting' forum, and creator of the 'Earth Sling' (I have one!) to officially open the site...

This comprehensive website is the complete package and is the first Australian website of it's kind. It contains all the information any parent needs to practice being Part Time Nappy Free. I love the approach Charndra has taken as it makes Elimination Communication accessible to all parents even if they haven't been doing it from the birth of their baby or perhaps don't want to commit to full-time EC.

The sections are very clear and explain everything in a straight forward manner. All aspects of being nappy free are covered and there are words of encouragement throughout with handy tips for newbies. Any parent using this website as a guide, even one with no prior experience, will feel supported every step of the way.

The checklists make it very easy for a parent new to being nappy free to get an understanding of the communication babies naturally use to indicate their elimination needs. This communication is often missed by modern parents who are unaware that babies are even capable of communicating in this way. Understanding the ways their baby is already communicating is sure to give them confidence to give 'being part time nappy free' a go.

While this website lays out all the practicalities, the fun parts aren't forgotten with the enhanced communication with baby being emphasised. It's important for parents to know that it's not all hard work but an enjoyable exercise and nothing to be stressed about or afraid of and I think this website portrays just that.

As a mother who practiced being part time nappy free with my own babies many years ago I realise just how rewarding and worthwhile it is. At that time I was fortunate to have a good friend guide me through so I also learned that good support is a key ingredient. With this website finally that support is available to all parents.

I'm very pleased to announce the official launch of the Part Time Nappy Free website!

P.S I hope you enjoy your visit today, you'll be one of my first visitors! EC is a niche interest for sure, yet I can't help wonder - what if every baby used just one less nappy a day? What an impact that could have on their bums, their Mums and our environment - wouldn't that be wonderful?
